William Seigel reported on a meeting with Shawn McGlaughlin and Supervisor Paul Haines in which McGlaughlin urged cooperation between the Rail Trail Authority and Buffalo Township to make trail crossings safer for trail users and drivers. Seigel said the Authority is seeking funds to modify crossings and will address the Authority at its next meeting to discuss requesting township assistance in trail maintenance.
The Board discussed recommending a Buffalo Township resident for appointment to the Rail Trail Authority Board and directed that the township make a recommendation and have the person apply through the Authority's website. No funding commitment from the township was recorded in the minutes.
