At the Sept. 8 meeting the Village of Dakota heard project updates on several infrastructure items. The wastewater treatment facility project is awaiting resolution of electrical work with ComEd; the minutes say a technician from Willett Hauffman is expected to return from vacation and complete electrical tasks soon. The water tower has completed sand blasting and crews are expected to begin sealing shortly.
Trustees noted that a letter related to an unregistered-vehicles ordinance has been mailed and gives residents until the end of October before the board takes enforcement action. The minutes include no target dates for wastewater completion, no contract dates, and no estimate of costs remaining. There was also no update on a solar ordinance under discussion.
