Dakota trustees appoint five members to village zoning board

At its Sept. 8 meeting the Village of Dakota board moved to form a zoning board and appointed five village trustees to serve. President Jon Riley nominated Jeremy Knox, Otis Holley, Andrew Workinger, Ken Vrazsity and Thomas Long; the minutes record motions to accept these nominations and unanimous approval by voice vote.

The minutes state the zoning board is required to change zoning of properties. No terms, meeting schedule or conflict-of-interest disclosures for appointees were included in the record; the board indicated the nominations were being accepted to meet the legal requirement that a zoning board exist if zoning changes are to be considered.
