Sage Richards was appointed to the Palco City Council and sworn in during the June 10 meeting. After an interview with council members, Don Steeples moved to appoint Richards to the vacant seat and Stephen Desaire seconded; the motion carried 3-0. Larissa Wilson administered the oath of office.
Mayor Kyle Karlin opened the discussion of the appointment and city clerk Larissa Wilson completed the swearing-in. The council did not record an objection to the appointment during the public session and proceeded to regular business after the oath. The next regular council meeting is scheduled for July 8, 2026.
