Jurupa Unified staff outline summer transportation, nutrition and facilities work
Summary
District staff reported summer operations: transportation routes for students with special needs, more than 60,000 meals served, custodial deep-cleaning and major technology deployments to prepare for the new school year.
Dr. Trent Hansen introduced division highlights and Mrs. Ford of business services summarized summer operations that supported the start of the school year. Ford said transportation "safely transported 484 special needs students on 48 summer route school routes" and that nutrition services served more than 60,000 meals and 3,805 lunches across four community meal sites.
Ford also reported facilities work and custodial deep-cleaning to ready classrooms: maintenance completed 1,622 work orders and custodial staff deep-cleaned 1,042 classrooms and common areas. Technology teams upgraded network infrastructure, completed year-end system rollovers and serviced and deployed Chromebooks, closing more than 4,000 support tickets to prepare staff and students for day one.
