Henrico Board commends Glen Allen High School state championship teams

The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved resolutions honoring Glen Allen High School’s athletic teams on Feb. 24. Resolution 53-26 commended the girls cross country team for winning the Class 5 Girls Cross Country State Championship; resolution 54-26 commended the boys volleyball team for winning the Class 5 Boys Volleyball State Championship.
Supervisor Daniel J. Schmitt presented both resolutions. Members of each team and their head coaches — Jennifer Strojiny for cross country and Kevin Hoy for volleyball — accepted the recognitions. Coach Hoy thanked Schmitt and the board and said the team "will try and return with another win soon," according to the meeting record.
