Henrico plans July 34 Virginia250 celebrations at Dorey and Crump parks

John Zannino, Director of Recreation and Parks, introduced Assistant Director Julian Charity to present the Countys Virginia250 plans at the Feb. 10 meeting. Charity said the County will mark Virginias 250th anniversary with events over two days: a July 3 kickoff at Dorey Park and a July 4 program at Crump Park.
Charity reviewed planned video packages and promotional material and asked the Board and County Manager to provide short video remarks on what it means to be an American citizen to be included in the event package. Charity said the events will "kick-off on July 3 at Dorey Park with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and lasting until 10:00 p.m." The Board expressed enthusiasm for the schedule and promotional plans.
