Glenn Troup moved and Todd Oberdorf seconded a motion to change the township's cell phone carrier from Metro by T‑Mobile to the T‑Mobile Government Plan, which the minutes estimate will save approximately $150 per month. The motion passed unanimously.
The board also directed the secretary to advertise the date for the tentative budget vote and authorized advertising a John Deere tractor for sale in a local newspaper and on Municibid, with the Municibid listing to close Oct. 21, 2024. Supervisors recorded these actions as unanimous votes; the minutes show the steps taken to notify the public and dispose of surplus equipment.
Solicitor comments during the meeting noted that signatures were required for the unPaved bicycle race scheduled for the coming weekend. Supervisors additionally asked the public to suggest names of CDL drivers for winter plowing; that request was recorded as a supervisor comment rather than a formal motion.
