The Tenafly Environmental Commission accepted the minutes of March 19, 2026; Julie O’Connor said she will send the approved minutes to Omar Stovall. Pat Mason of the Department of Public Works presented the DPW update that followed the procedural motion.
Mason said the DPW will plant a tree at the Middle School for Arbor Day and that the Trash‑a‑Thon, originally scheduled for April 19, was postponed to the rain date on Sunday, April 26. He reported that Downes Tree Service will plant trees for more than 50 families who requested them this season and that late requests will be placed on a fall planting list. The DPW plans to extend Downes' contract to assist with planting next year. Recycling totals for January–March were provided; the minutes list net town payments of $3,052.19 (January), $2,713.68 (February) and $3,567.82 (March).
