Delinquent Tax Collector Julie Bessette requested permission to hire outside counsel to handle tax sales. Chair John Roleau moved to authorize Bessette to hire an outside tax-sale attorney with funds to come from town legal fees; the motion passed 5–0.
In other business, Selectboard Assistant Pam Kingman asked to close the Town Office the week of August 17, 2026, and proposed the board consider paying the part‑time zoning administrator for that week off in recognition of past work. After discussion the board agreed to consider the matter and said it would discuss the personnel and compensation question in executive session at the next meeting.
