Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk Julie Hanson told the Council that the City’s 75th Anniversary Celebration would be held on Friday, July 17 at Cummings Park from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with general parking at the Boston Scientific parking lot and a drone show staged on the soccer field. Hanson encouraged residents to register Night to Unite events and explained where donations and registration materials could be dropped off.
Councilmembers thanked staff and sponsors for planning. Councilmember Brenda Holden said the City had received "over $45,000" from sponsors and encouraged residents to bring water because it was expected to be hot; Councilmembers supported scheduling a future worksession to review lessons learned from planning the celebration.
