Depot update: Selectboard agrees on paint choice; VELCO may designate land for proposed fire station

At the meeting Steve Dupoise gave an update on the train depot project, saying the Selectboard agreed the same shade of green used on the soffits should be used on the windows and doors. The board recorded that decision as a design choice for the depot exterior.
Dupoise also reported that VELCO would consider designating a wedge of land to accommodate the proposed fire station and said VELCO will discuss potential plans with New Haven Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Livingston and former Chief Alan Mayer. The board did not take a formal site authorization vote at this meeting; the matter is expected to continue in future discussions with VELCO and the fire department.
