Town Hall door shattered; Selectboard reviews alarm and elevator inspection results

Pam Kingman told the board the Town Hall front door at ground level had been shattered; she said MAUSD Facilities Manager Joe Wesley has contacted Desabrais Glass to replace it and that the Selectboard asked Kingman to follow up on whether the mowing company’s insurance might cover the damage. Kingman also reported that the Royal Group inspected the Town Office/Library alarm system and recommended potential smoke detector updates; the inspection did not call for replacing the switchboard.
Separately, the board authorized a three‑year contract with Green Mountain Elevator Inspection Services, LLC for $150 (a state-set fee) and approved John Roleau to sign the agreement. The board did not record any formal action authorizing immediate replacement of smoke detectors.
