Board hears proposal to expand Weatherford ISD access; year‑round partnership would need council approval
Summary

CJ Crawford told the board the library offered summer cards to Weatherford ISD students last year and staff would like to explore extending that access year‑round. "Last summer, we were able to allow Weatherford ISD students to have summer cards," Crawford said, and she said staff "would love to be able to have a year round partnership" but that the change would require conversations with city management and possibly city council approval.
A committee member asked for clarification on who makes the decision. Crawford replied that the city manager and the city council would be involved in making a year‑round policy change. Staff emphasized they will continue to propose the idea and work with school and city officials to explore feasible options.
