"Projects like this set a precedent for local IDAs and municipalities to take the lead and set up reuse strategies for State owned property," Pincelli said. Amanda McDonald moved approval and Kaye Stone‑Gansz seconded; "All present approved," the transcript states.
Board members asked clarifying questions about state ownership of the parcels; Pincelli confirmed the State owns property not owned by the EDC. The board did not discuss specific study consultants, timelines or exact funding amounts at the meeting. The decision authorizes staff to pursue the application and commit WCIDA resources to support the study application should funding be awarded.
