The board considered Resolution 2025-04, a draft resolution intended to support submission of a grant application to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife non-motorized trail fund. Mayor Patrick Fallon introduced the item and representatives Jim Ostrem and Nicole Pieterse of the Rico Trails Alliance provided a summary and answered trustees' questions.
After discussion, Mayor Fallon moved to continue the item to the Sept. 17, 2025 regular board meeting so that the resolution can be reworded; Trustee Benn Vernadakis seconded. The motion to continue passed with five yes votes and one abstention by Mayor Pro Tem Cristal Hibbard. The revised resolution will return to the board for formal consideration at the September meeting.
