County weighs assistance after Miles reports collapsing storm sewer under Ferry Road; engineer estimates about $30,000

Board members discussed options: the county could contract for the repair and withhold the city's FM-extension funds until reimbursed, the city could pursue RCTP (regional) funding next year, or temporary patches or gravel could be used short-term. Supervisors asked staff to check how much FM/RCTP money Miles has received in recent years and to prepare proposed terms (including payback schedules) for the board to consider at a future meeting before the county commits funds for the repair.
