Director Dixon reported to the board that summer maintenance activities are on track ahead of the 2025–26 school year. He said site cleaning and furniture moves are nearing completion, TK furniture is expected by the end of the month, book orders are arriving at the warehouse, and summer civic permit signups for fall begin around Aug. 5. Dixon reported a repaired chlorine pump in the pool and that there are no chemical or pH issues currently.
Dixon also noted operational items the district is monitoring: several athletic fields are showing heat stress despite seven‑day watering and occasional supplemental watering, and there are two open custodial positions at the high school. He said staff are addressing HVAC repairs ahead of staff return. Trustees acknowledged the updates as routine maintenance matters the district is managing before school starts.
