Board renews ARIES SIS, GoGuardian and Newsela contracts for 2025–26

Staff recommended and the board approved a $127,808.84 renewal for the ARIES student information system (SIS), which staff said is central to CALPADS reporting and used across departments. Trustee Pambo moved the renewal and Trustee Modi seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved a $113,967 renewal with CDW Government for GoGuardian, a classroom-monitoring tool that staff said began as a high-school innovation and expanded districtwide with an added mental-health component. Trustee Daniel moved the motion and Trustee Olson seconded; it passed 5–0. Finally, trustees approved a one-year renewal of Newsela supplemental reading services for $72,738 to support leveled reading in grades 3–8 and high school ELA.
