Royse City ISD reorganizes board; Mike Anderson elected president
Summary
At its June 22 meeting the Royse City ISD board disbanded its executive board, named the superintendent temporary chair, and elected Mike Anderson as board president in unanimous votes that also installed Jessica Ratterree as vice president and Eric Fort as secretary.
The Royse City Independent School District Board of Trustees voted June 22 to disband the current Executive Board and appoint the superintendent as temporary chair, then conducted officer elections.
Cindi Jobe moved to disband the Executive Board and appoint the superintendent as temporary chair; Bobby Summers seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously, 7-0. Following the recess, Superintendent Dr. Anderson asked for nominations for board president. Scott Muckensturm nominated Mike Anderson; after a motion and second the board voted 7-0 to appoint Mike Anderson as president. The board later appointed Jessica Ratterree as vice president and Eric Fort as secretary, each by unanimous 7-0 votes.
The votes were recorded in open session with the following result each time: Mike Anderson-Yes; Eric Fort-Yes; Cindi Jobe-Yes; Angelee Morales-Yes; Scott Muckensturm-Yes; Jessica Ratterree-Yes; and Bobby Summers-Yes. The reorganization took place at the June 22 regular meeting convened at the Royse City ISD Event Center.
