Lammersville students showcase year of events at school board meeting

Students from Lammersville Elementary presented highlights from their Associated Student Body (ASB) activities at the Lammersville Joint Unified School District board meeting on May 21.
"We are here to present our successful events with you," Principal Heidi Beck said before ASB members described a Saint Patrick’s scavenger hunt, a spring dance with indoor and outdoor activities, a movie night and fundraising work that supported grade-level activities. Student Mohammed Zorba, Olivia Forrester, Maria Jose Campos and Sofia Orman told the board the events "brought joy to all students who participated" and helped raise funds for CJSF, ASB and grade-level activities.
Board members thanked the students and encouraged continuation of student-led programming. The president told the students they were welcome to stay for the meeting but acknowledged end-of-year testing and allowed them to leave if needed.
