The council opened a public hearing and considered the second reading of Ordinance 2025-67, a rezoning request for a 7.398-acre site at 2002 South Highway 95.
Mayor Ishmael Harris read the legal description and outlined the request: to rezone the property from PEC (Employment Center) to a Planned Development District (PDD) with a P-4 base district to allow the developer's proposed concept plan. City staff (referred to in the meeting as "Doc") told council that developer comments had been addressed since the prior hearing.
No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing. Council then moved the consent agenda, which included items 8a through 8g; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote, carrying the rezoning item as approved on the consent agenda.
Outcome: Ordinance 2025-67 was advanced/approved as presented under the consent agenda. The council did not record a roll-call tally in the public record that evening; the mayor stated the items "pass unanimous."
