Ulster County legislator announces gas tax cap, Milton Landing grant and farm support

Ulster County Legislator Laura Donovan told the Town Board on April 27 that the county has approved a gasoline tax cap for June through August that will cap the county tax on gasoline at $3.00 per gallon. She also announced a $2,500 grant for the 2026 Milton Landing Fest scheduled for Sept. 26 (rain date Sept. 27) to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Donovan also said county staff are working to support local family farms that were impacted by recent drastic temperature changes and that the county continues roadside pothole repairs. She noted that Susan Koppenhaver, Director of the Ulster County Office for the Aging, visited Marlborough’s American Legion Post 124 to discuss available resources for seniors and veterans.
