The Wheaton City Council unanimously adopted Resolution R-2026-38, authorizing Agreement No. 612 with Globe Construction, Inc. for the annual sidewalk replacement program and miscellaneous concrete work in an amount not to exceed $320,000 and a 5% contingency. City Manager Michael Dzugan said four bids were received and, given favorable pricing, staff recommended using approximately $96,000 in available budget to complete an additional 460 squares of replacement sidewalk.
Street Superintendent Nathan Plunkett told the Council the additional work would be focused in the northeastern area of the city. The roll call vote to adopt R-2026-38 was unanimous.
Next steps: execute Agreement No. 612 with Globe Construction and coordinate locations for the supplementary 460 squares of replacement sidewalk.
