Board approves $440,000 storage building as part of bond work

"Our overall number was 440,000, and that fell under our $450,000 budget that was originally, estimated," the presenter said, describing inclusions such as earthwork, site grading, drainage, gravel around the structure and a footing slab on grade.
The schedule presented called for a contractor start in November with completion around the first of the year. Board members discussed long‑term storage needs and noted that putting equipment inside a shed would lengthen the life of some items.
A motion to approve the Hutton GMP 1D storage building was recorded (mover identified as Jennifer and a second by Jeremy Ford) and the board approved the item by voice vote, 7–0.
Why it matters: approving the GMP advances construction work funded by the bond program and provides covered storage for district equipment and materials scheduled for subsequent bond phases.
