Superintendent Nicholas reviewed the district’s use of Measure L funds and the projects completed since the bond passed in 2016.
Nicholas said the $56 million Measure L bond passed with roughly 62% of the vote in 2016 and financed a range of projects: the learning commons (library), theater, CTE/professional education building, pool and aquatic center, tennis courts, professional development building and a district warehouse. "In 2016, Measure L passed with 62% vote," he said, and added that construction costs have risen substantially since then.
Board members praised the visual recap and thanked staff for the work; trustees noted it took community support and earlier boards’ decisions to complete the projects. The item was informational and no separate vote was required beyond routine acceptance of the superintendent’s report.
