City staff report infrastructure updates, officer training; council approves vehicle purchases

Chief Bradshaw reported that Officer Noah Clark "is on his 7th week of FTO Training and has another 7 weeks to go before being out on his own," indicating continued investment in police staffing and training.
City Administrator Bryant Morris updated the council on multiple infrastructure items: the road off Harbor Point Road to the wastewater plant and future Pecan Creek subdivision is complete; South 2nd is complete to the 3rd and 4th grade campus; plans are being gathered for chip sealing and slurry sealing streets; the White Hall Pump Station is operational; and Elm Grove water work is ongoing. The Development Board is scheduled to do a final walk-through of the 175 elevated storage tank and the 198 sewer line upgrade on Monday.
By consent the council approved procurement items including a 2025 Chevrolet Cab/Chassis for the Street Department ($59,089.21), a 2025 Ford F-150 for Water Sewer (after trade-in, $44,000.00) and a 2025 Ford F-150 for Sanitation (after trade-in, $32,000.00). Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Tyson Adams moved to pay monthly obligations and Mayor Pro-Tem John Chappell seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
