The Mabank City Council approved several land-planning items on April 14, including replat and final-plat approvals that advance residential development in and near town.
Councilman Daren Day moved to approve the replat of Mabank Original Town Block 35 to six lots; Mayor Pro-Tem John Chappell seconded and the motion passed (Councilman Derek Harrill abstained). Councilman Derek Harrill moved to approve the replat of Lighthouse Landing Phase III and to approve final plats for Seasons Phase 3 Sections A–E; those motions passed unanimously. Mayor Pro-Tem John Chappell also moved to approve the replat of lots 23 and 24 in Cedar Creek Landing as requested by Jay Martinson; that motion passed unanimously.
The approvals cover both preliminary and final platting steps needed for subdivision development; the meeting record does not include engineering conditions, performance bonds, or phased timelines, so follow-up with the planning department would be needed for construction schedules and utilities coordination.
