The Mabank City Council unanimously voted to accept Oaklawn Cemetery as a donation from Board President Johnny Adams after Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Tyson Adams moved for acceptance and Councilman Derek Harrill seconded.
Mayor Randy Teague recognized Johnny Adams for his years of service at the dais. At the same meeting the council read and signed proclamations declaring April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month and April 2026 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month to raise public awareness of those issues in the community.
