Council accepts Alamo Pintado Road rehabilitation as complete; project under budget

The council adopted resolution 26‑1333 on Aug. 10 accepting the Alamo Pintado Road rehabilitation project as complete and authorizing the city manager to file a notice of completion. Public Works reported the project moved forward on a rebid in March 2026, was awarded to CalPortland for $2,912,000, and included a 10% contingency.
Public Works Director Bridgette said the team used available contingency to add additional repairs on Oak Street, Fredericksburg Canyon and a Chalk Hill patch, and that the project finished approximately $140,000 under the original budget. Council members praised staff and contractors for the scheduling, traffic control and quality of work during construction.
