Planning Board keeps Red Horse Inn hearing open pending engineering referral

Attorney Kevin Clauer told the Planning Board that revised plans for the Red Horse Inn redevelopment address many engineering comments, particularly on drainage and stormwater, but the engineering department has not yet issued an updated referral; he recommended the board prepare draft positive motions contingent on a favorable engineering referral. "Those plans have been revised to address the outstanding comments of engineering largely with regards to drainage and stormwater," Clauer said.
Board members pressed about street‑opening permits, sewer connection (the applicant later confirmed the site is on sewer), dumpster capacity and sidewalk continuity; the board voted to continue the hearing to Aug. 25 so staff can receive the pending engineering comment and prepare any necessary findings and draft motions.
