Chairman Mark Hartzheim reported that Clerk Roben Haggart "said the fire inspection has been scheduled with Chief Carani and all other requirements have been met."
Both motions were made by Supervisor Brian Fricke; the motion for Sloppy D’s was seconded by Supervisor Erika Petersen, and the motion for Pine Cone Express was seconded by Supervisor Billy Fried. Each approval was contingent on the successful completion of the scheduled fire inspection with Fire Chief Rich Carani and passed by voice vote. The approvals allow the vendors to operate at the Dragon Boat Festival and the car show at Minocqua Park Complex once the inspections and any remaining requirements are satisfied.
Why it matters: the approvals support two large community events and require coordination between vendors, the clerk’s office and the fire department to meet safety standards before vendors can operate on site.
