Council approves first reading to annex property off Berkeley Farms Road

The Goose Creek City Council on Tuesday introduced and approved on first reading an ordinance to annex the parcel identified as TMS 2330803019 into the municipal boundaries.
Mayor (speaker 1) read the ordinance citation under Title 5, Chapter 3 of the South Carolina code and opened the public hearing. Andrew Todd Burke, the project's landscape architect, told council, "I've been with this project since its inception," and said he was available to answer questions. No members of the public spoke during the hearing. A council member moved to approve the ordinance on first reading, the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The council did not record additional public testimony on the matter during the meeting. The ordinance was introduced and advanced on first reading at the Aug. 11 session.
