Planning staff reports: technician departure and outreach at farmers markets

At the Sept. 8 meeting planning staff reported a personnel change and outreach activity. Elena (planning staff) announced that Planning Technician Matthew Ball has left the city and that Ruby Phillips will step in as planning commission secretary.
Elena also updated commissioners on outreach tied to the general-plan update: staff and CRC attended three Fresh Choice farmers markets and spoke directly with approximately 35 members of the public to gather feedback. “Staff was able to speak directly with the community, and they're able to get feedback from approximately 35 members of the public,” she said. Staff indicated most required trainings for commissioners are available online and that HR will ensure training notices reach all commissioners.
