Mark Kenings (speaker 36) said he and volunteers moved bark mulch and stone around trail kiosks, and the commission reported two projects for grant letters: Ahern (Ayer) Acres trail improvements and a kayak/canoe launch at Milligan/Mill Pond near Portland Ave. "So most of the 2 that we had, you had to go to 3 different organizations... we had letters for 2 projects," he said. Members said Wright‑Pierce provided engineering support and that the projects will also require approvals from state agencies where applicable.
The group also discussed coordination with a UNE professor who could provide student monitoring support if the town budget and council approval proceed. Members agreed to follow up and circulate email updates about council action and grant timelines.
