The Fire Department visited the Tisbury Council on Aging Feb. 19 to discuss the Knox Box program, which allows installation of a secure exterior key box for emergency access. The minutes record that the Sheriff's Department provided reflective house-number signs to help emergency responders locate residences.
Members commended the Department of Public Works for maintaining the parking lot during icy conditions, and the director noted she regularly thanks DPW staff and shares donated treats. The minutes also call out rising union wages, with an example that flaggers are earning $90 per hour.
