County adopts 5-year parks and recreation plan

Heberling introduced the resolution, saying the plan "describes physical features, existing recreation facilities including handicap accessibility" and includes an action plan for improving and maintaining recreation facilities through 2031. He said the draft was available for public review for at least 30 days and a public hearing was held on Dec. 2, 2025. Commissioner Christine Lee seconded the motion.
Clerk Leslie Goldendahl called the roll; all present commissioners voted yes and the resolution was adopted. The board noted adoption will help the parks commission seek grant funding to meet plan goals. No amendments or dissent were recorded.
