Committee waives procurement to hire Bond, Schoeneck & King for discrimination and harassment policy

"The policy is supposed to reflect New York State law on discrimination and harassment," Fitch said during the committee discussion. The waiver motion was moved by Mr. Hahn, seconded by Mr. Hall, and adopted.
Committee discussion noted that NYMIR (the county insurer) provides educational training for employees and the contracted work will focus on drafting policy language consistent with state requirements. The committee adopted the waiver to expedite the contract; formal contract documents will follow procurement and resolution steps at the Board level.
