City schedules Aug. 19 meeting for EHV holders; county offers transfer option for 188 households

City staff announced a meeting on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Police Community Room to brief emergency housing voucher (EHV) holders about their options when the current program expires.
Assistant City Manager and staff said letters are being mailed and staff is calling households to relay options. "LA County Development Agency ... are willing and able to accept all 188 current temporary voucher holders into their permanent emergency housing voucher program with the condition that they... have to move to their jurisdiction outside Glendale, typically for 12 months, and then they can return," a staff member said. Staff urged voucher holders to attend the Aug. 19 session or contact city staff for information.
The city will publish meeting details and continue outreach by phone and mail to ensure affected households receive information and can assess eligibility for alternate placement.
