Technology director reports summer device refresh, Jamf'to'Mosel migration and Zscaler pilot

Mr. Shoshanek told the committee the technology team completed major summer projects, including a life'cycle hardware refresh and device deployments, and that the district ran an internship program with seven student interns this summer. He said device management for Apple devices was migrated from Jamf Here to Mosel and that "as of the end of July, all 700 plus of our Apple devices have been fully migrated over to the new system."
He described network upgrades to support large assembly spaces (auditoriums, cafeterias, libraries) so alerts and connectivity scale when hundreds of people are present, moved the annual PowerSchool rollover earlier by two weeks to give schools more prep time, and reported a Zscaler cybersecurity pilot (approved at the June board meeting) is underway with back'end support from CCIU. Committee members thanked the technology team and highlighted a student intern, Lincoln Farkas, who served as student representative.
