Board recognizes two students who earned Eagle Scout honors

Doctor Jerome introduced and recognized two district students who earned Eagle Scout: Henry Willis of Blue Springs High School and Noah Bannon of Blue Springs South. Jerome said both joined scouts in 2021 and “within the last year, they have reached the achievement of Eagle Scout, which is quite an accomplishment.”
Jerome summarized Willis’s leadership roles and said Henry’s Eagle project cleared space to create an outdoor classroom at Brittany Hill Middle School, a project slated to culminate on 01/22/2026. Jerome said Bannon designed and built benches for an outdoor classroom at Bingham Middle School, noted Noah is on the presidential honor roll and plans to attend the University of Missouri Columbia. Jerome presented certificates and gifts from the PR department to both students.
A board member later reflected on personal scouting experience and said scouting motivated their own decision to run for the board, praising the program’s impact on youth leadership.
