The Linn County Planning and Zoning Commission approved the July 2026 meeting minutes by voice vote and the Chair announced that board member David Fisher has resigned from the board, asking members to consider who should serve as chair next month.
"I'd like to tell everybody that David Fisher has resigned from the board," the Chair said, noting Fisher "has done an excellent job for us." Members agreed to think about a replacement and the Chair said the vacancy gives the group time to nominate a new chair at the next meeting. The motion to approve the minutes was made and seconded and carried without recorded opposition.
No formal appointment was made at the Aug. 11 meeting; members agreed to address the chair selection at the next regular meeting.
