The Town Board approved a set of October tax-recommendation awards that included roughly $25,000 to the Depot Museum for a planned Theodore Roosevelt event, funding for Cannery Pond's winter concert advertising and artist fees, and marketing support for Our Town Theatre.
"I think the biggest thing that people should know is that the Depot Museum got almost $25,000 for the, the January, ride to the presidency for Theodore Roosevelt," the supervisor said. A committee member urged caution on immediate release: "the suggestion was to earmark the funds for this event, but not release until review, in the spring." The board agreed to hold the funds pending additional planning and review before disbursing them.
