A select board member moved to accept GPI's bid and to authorize the town administrator to execute any necessary contract documents; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
"GPI got a total of 188 and MSK engineers got a total of 167," a board member said during the evaluation summary. Town staff also noted schedule differences in the technical proposals (MSK estimated four weeks; GPI estimated six) and emphasized that the inspection firm must be independent of the design and construction firms under the TAP grant requirements.
The approval authorizes the town administrator to finalize contract paperwork and begin the inspection phase; staff did not give a firm construction start date at the meeting.
