Residents urge better coordination with Gore Mountain, praise in-kind support and endorse snowmobile-rail link to boost local economy

Nancy Bridal, a longtime North Creek resident, echoed the call to stop "squelching" local projects and singled out the proposed snowmobile trail connection as a potential economic driver. Separately, a board member described efforts by the Thurman Connection and Rev Rail to bring a rail-snowmobile connection to North Creek that could allow visitors to reach Johnsburg facilities and keep local spending in town.
The board did not make any formal commitments at this meeting, but public comments and the board conversation highlighted community interest in regional recreation partnerships and in capturing tourism-related spending for Johnsburg businesses.
