During the daily operations update, Operations Supervisor Gus Pardo reported that road crews started filling potholes but work was interrupted when the backhoe experienced a mechanical failure. The minutes state that an assessment of the backhoe's condition is pending.
Equipment work documented in the report included taking 'Rusty's truck' to a repair shop for multiple fixes (heater fan, door handle, gear shifter, starter and a power steering leak). Staff also replaced batteries at the water plant and for Cravens generators. The council received the report as information and did not take formal action on these maintenance items.
