The Johnsburg Town Board opened a public hearing on the town budget and gave members of the public an opportunity to speak before closing the hearing and scheduling a formal adoption at the next board meeting.
"I'll leave the public hearing open for a few minutes, and then probably close it out in about 5," the Chair said when opening the hearing. Board members discussed remaining months in the fiscal year and noted expected expenses for the rest of the year. The Chair told the board, "We will pass a resolution next Board Meeting to adopt the budget," and the transcript records the public hearing being closed later in the meeting.
The board did not record a final vote on the full budget during this session; the board indicated adoption will occur at its next scheduled meeting.
