Chair (S1) presented a resolution to appropriate insurance recovery funds related to a truck that went over near Hawes, explaining the check came to the town rather than the towing company and that the town will cash it, place it in a new budget line and then pay the towing company (K and K in Olmsteadville). The motion to bring the resolution to the floor was made and seconded, the board noted no further questions, and the item was approved.
"So this basically goes to the truck that went over, up near to Hawes," Chair (S1) said when introducing the resolution. The board authorized staff to sign off and pay the towing vendor once the budget appropriation is posted. Next steps: the town will record the insurance receipt in the designated budget line and process payment to the contracted towing company as directed by the approved resolution.
