NH DOT outlines superstructure replacement for Mile Hill Road bridge on US 3/NH 11

New Hampshire Department of Transportation staff and consultants presented a rehabilitation plan for Bridge No. 121/028 — the US 3/NH 11 crossing over Mile Hill Road — saying the structure, built in 1967, shows cracking, spalling and delamination that warrant a major superstructure update.
John Stockton, NH DOT project manager, described the recommended approach as a "superstructure replacement" that would include new girders, a concrete deck, replacement of elastomeric bearings, abutment rehabilitation and updated railing and joints. Presenters said the bridge is listed at No. 63 on the 2024 State Bridge Rehabilitation and Replacement priority list. The project schedule shows preliminary design complete in May 2026, final design by September 2026, advertisement in October 2026 and construction in summer 2027 with about nine months of work under a single-lane, alternating traffic plan.
