Applicant representative Stephanie Cook presented a short video and described Zipline as the world’s largest drone delivery service, estimating “1.6 million commercial deliveries.” Cook said the drones would deliver “food products, retail and medical items such as prescriptions,” operate with autonomous aircraft tracked by FAA‑approved pilots, and start with a two‑mile radius that could expand to up to 10 miles; the maximum parcel weight is eight pounds. Council approved the CUP with a 5–1 vote (Councilmember Elizabeth Rodriguez‑Ross opposed). Ordinance No. 5227 was recorded in Ordinance Book No. 136.
